Pohatcong Township Land Use Board Regular Meeting
The board discussed and approved a new zoning ordinance aimed at specifically defining and excluding data centers from the warehouse category within the township. The board deliberated on the legal implications of this ordinance, emphasizing that it establishes data centers as non-permitted, non-conforming uses to give the municipality greater regulatory control. Members also considered how this ordinance aligns with the master plan and discussed the potential need for future master plan reexaminations to reflect current land use policies and other recent developments, such as cannabis regulations.
